For conventional LED display device, single LED diode is the elementary constituentof a given image or graphic and is known as pixel, a matrix of LED consists a
huge number of LED constitute the display board for an given image; however unlike
conventional LED display device, Spinning LED Display does not contain a huge
number of LED to form a matrix board to show the images. It consists a single
row of LED that is mechanically moved in horizontal direction by a motor or any
driving device. In other words, the conventional LED Display board has electrical
scan in two directions, horizontal and vertical and it is the electrical scan
of these directions along the LED matrix that creates the images in human eyes;
Spinning LED Display electrical scan is replaced by mechanical scan in horizontal
direction and thus save huge numbers of LED diode. Controlled by programmed single
chip processor, a single row of LED light up in different spatial positions
with programmed orders. When the spinning speed of LED row is fast enough and reach
the frequency of 33HZ, human vision is not longer capable to detect the motion
action of the LED row; as a result the programmed combination light up of different
LED in single LED row at different spatial positions will constitute a clear
and static image in eyes of observers. This is what we called "persistence
of vision" of human eyes in physic, taking advantage of the limitations of human
visual perceptions, incapable to discriminate fast moving action in high frequency,
uses a power driving force to move a single row of LED in high speed, replace
horizontal electrical scan by mechanical scan to save huge number of LED. The
Spinning LED Display can performance as many functions as conventional LED display,
however, the cost of production is much less than the conventional LED display
boards and show great competitive power in cost-effectiveness for end-users
